# CONTRACTS.md starters

Five ready-to-copy CONTRACTS.md files, one per common kind of agreement an agent works under. Each has the keys its kind needs, scope tags for scope_check, count and money limits, and passes check_contract at strict with no errors. Every name, number and date is an example: replace each with what the parties stated, and keep status draft until the person says the agreement is in force. A record of terms, not a contract.

- [Agent subscription](https://www.contracts.md/starters/agent-subscription.md): An agent service on a monthly plan: a request allowance, a monthly spend cap, service levels with credits, auto renewal.
- [Statement of work](https://www.contracts.md/starters/statement-of-work.md): A fixed piece of work: dated deliverables, a once price, a revision limit, and a term that ends.
- [API usage terms](https://www.contracts.md/starters/api-usage-terms.md): Calling an API: rate and daily request limits, a per-request price, a monthly spend cap, and uptime and latency targets with a credit ladder.
- [Data handling](https://www.contracts.md/starters/data-handling.md): Data an agent works with: what it may be used for, what never, how long it is kept, and how fast it is deleted on request.
- [Retainer](https://www.contracts.md/starters/retainer.md): Monthly included hours with rollover and a cap on extra hours, a monthly fee, and notice before renewal.

Tool: GET https://www.contracts.md/api/v1/contract_starter?kind=<id> returns the file, its check_contract result and a summary of the agreement; without kind, this list. JSON: send Accept: application/json. New starters and changes show up in this index and in GET https://www.contracts.md/api/v1/contract_starter; each file's X-Content-SHA256 header changes with its text.
